Sing contemporary!

professional teaching for contemporary voice education

Singing will lead to an adventure

◦ expressive, body-related speaking voice for everyday (professional) life

◦ get access to your own voice

◦ Reduce unnecessary tensions

◦ learn to breathe deeper

◦ experience the power and space of vocal sound, let yourself be carried by sound

◦ Gaining confidence in articulation

◦ express much of what rather is usually perceived passively!

Our voice is our daily companion.

It’s main instrument, our larynx, is physiological speaking an organ of perception.
As such it represents an essential key to a multi dimensional, present and expressive vocal tone.
If you notice the sound beyond in it’s full spectrum, its nature shows more and more agitation and abundance. It holds structures into which the voice can easily unite to a many-sided instrument.

This describes an access to a tuned sense of self.

About

I’m educated in traditional classical singing and its teaching (Diploma University of arts Berlin) and further educated in the method of Lichtenberger® Institute and Estill Voice Training. During my studies I looked into extended, experimental vocal technics by collaborations with composers of contemporary music.

In this area of conflict between classical tradition, the naturalness of the voice function and the discovery of the very (ur)own voice expression my artistic work and also my teaching takes part. My classes referents in basic principles on every genre, including the free improvisation. My students sing in the classical as well as Pop/Folk/Jazz/Punk or metal “profession”.

Since 2023, I have been active as a doctoral student at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg with the research focus on “Extended Vocal Techniques”. I am intensively engaged in the analysis of vocal techniques that go beyond traditional singing and by means of which we can potentially enable a more profound understanding of the human voice.

I appreciate to support people to find their individual expression in voice!

My classes are hold in german and english language.

Group

I am happy to give the opportunity to develop vocally in a group!

My repertoire chosen for this purpose comes mainly from the field of world music.

Singing in an extremely foreign language (such as Bulgarian, Macedonian, Russian, Spanish, French, Italian or even Japanese), you get less into the “hemispheric” conflict of the strict separation of music and language – language is experienced more as a timbre.

In performance, this is much easier than it “sounds” written…
